Six Adelaide pool matches in two weeks: itinerary patterns
Adelaide’s schedule supports a short double-header weekend, a week-long three-match stay or a full 15-day base.
The short version
Three planning decisions
- Opening weekend pairs Wales v Zimbabwe with South Africa v Italy.
- The middle run offers England v Zimbabwe and Fiji v Canada.
- The final Adelaide pair is Japan v USA followed by Argentina v Fiji.
Pattern one: opening weekend
Arrive before Saturday 2 October for Wales v Zimbabwe at 12:15, then stay for South Africa v Italy on Sunday 3 October at 14:15. This is the cleanest compact Adelaide double-header in the confirmed schedule.
Pattern two: the middle fixtures
England v Zimbabwe is an evening match on Friday 8 October. Fiji v Canada follows at 12:15 on Sunday 10 October. The gap creates a full Adelaide Saturday rather than a rushed intercity move.
Pattern three: final Adelaide weekend
Japan v USA begins at 20:00 on Friday 15 October, followed by Argentina v Fiji at 13:15 on Saturday 16 October. The short turnaround strengthens the case for a walkable base and avoiding a fragile late-night return after the Friday game.
A full 15-day Adelaide base reaches all six fixtures, but that is a lodging-inventory decision as much as a rugby decision. Compare the cost of one stable base against intercity movement only when live booking windows are meaningful.
